New to Me

On December 31st 2007 I started my locs with the Nappyloc tool. I felt so free when I finally finished them 5 days later. Yes, I had to work in between and I was a DIYer. So I kept my hat on all week at work and worked on a section at time. I am really enjoying the journey along with my sisterfriend Joan. We are in it together baby. I am so happy to have been able to research the many ways to loc. I have enjoyed lurking on many blog sites. I love bloggers like Marvee and Blaqkofi because they are so positive and give lots of advice to us newbees. Keep up the good work to all my lockers. I have so much lock envy OMG. But I know i will get there and like I said I am enjoying the journey of freedom from weaves (which I didn't wear much in the first place) and added braid hair, which I pretty much wore most of the time for the last 19 years. What took me so long, honey, I just don't know. I have several loc buddies at work and we share information and stories of our journeys. Hopefully my trials and pics can encourage the next person.
